hehe there was a way to multiply them
they did not exactly stunt your pokemons growth the pokemon getting fed them just did not recieve and effort values that they normally gain for defeating pokemon
you gain them as well as exp when defeating other pokemon and they raise the pokemons stats further
can keep gaining them even after you have used rare candies to get a pokemon to lv 99

Yea....and then in gold and silver there was a way to duplicate ur pokemon using the PC, so if they were holding a rare candy u would duplicate both the pokemon and candy so it was win/win

What you can do is, once your Pokemon has gained sufficient levels, go around defeating low level Pokemon with the EVs you want. Once you max out the EVs you want, use a Rare Candy and your Pokemon will gain very good stat gains.

So yeah, you're supposed to use it as a "reward" for the effort.

even though I own a lot of the games >_>;;

I can never play them for very long cos random encounters pisses me off big time.

at least make the magikarps have another more other than splash...i don't think they learn their first move till like lvl 15 that was horrible ):

They learn Tackle at 15 and Flail later on. Flail can turn a Magikarp into a monster of destruction when low on HP.
