Basically, the DLer client was on the official website for like 30 seconds and Reddit sniped it.

Then they uploaded it.

Dl the client before it's hit with the flood that comes from official invites. Yes it's safe (Plenty of people have tested it, not to mention it's straight from the guildwars website)

That's the server we should go on. It's US (which is a majority of our players I think) and it's also a less commonly known name, since it wasn't as known in the last game. That way the population isn't too high. Don't worry, it won't be empty either. Beta has several thousand people on it. We just want to be able to all play without being covered with other players.

Wow, is everyone playing guardian, or what? I actually thought Squirrel was going to play Necromancer and Luna was going to play Engineer, so I am a bit surprised that you two switched. Lumais has always been a big pally person, so I'm certain he will go guardian as well. Pie was going to play guardian too, and she's not too sure with so many other guardians now. I know at one time Luc even expressed interest in one too though I'm kinda betting he will go elementalist. It's funny too because we had an abundance of pallys in WoW too (Fei, Luma and I all had 85 pallys).

As for me, I'll be going thief or mesmer, depending on what the rest of the group does.

*edit* As far as server, it never occurred to me to pick a server based on server load, unless I see that the server list in game has an annoying queue time. I usually just go with whatever sounds cool. I personally like the names:

Eredon Terrace
Steamspur and Blazeridge Mountains
Ehmry Bay
Eternal Grove

I am okay going with a logical choice though, such as Isle of Janthir. We can always move around later anyways.

although I was thinking about Guardian, I have to be honest I didn't expect so many people to lean towards it haha, but it is awesome either way!

All four of those server names are obscure enough to work. (Is checking for popular GW1 names so dun worry)

Also, thanks to the way the game works we CAN all play guardian.

In that case, I'm gonna play a dedicated healing type. For those pursuing DPS I suggest utilizing the many burns and condition buffs.

Well, right now I have zero interest in playing guardian. Even before I found out all those peeps might be playing it.

It's true that the skill diversity is large enough where it shouldn't matter as much, but having a diverse group of classes is a lot more fun. Of course, we should just play what we want to play, because the point is to have fun, especially in a beta where characters will get wiped anyways. It's a good time to experiment and try new things.

If all things are considered equal and if everyone is indifferent on server name, Pie and I like Eredon Terrace the best. It sounds nice and has cool initials.

I think Pie will end up playing a hunter and I will play a mesmer for group play, names TBD.

True Bear, we should all just play what we want to, and you all make a good point they have already stated it is made in a way that even if a whole group is made up of 1 class they could succeed regardless.

We do have to face the truth that we are so freaking awesome that nothing will stop us anyways hahahaha.

Well, I'm an alt-oholic, so even at release I'm going to be using a few characters xD

Yes, I was initially intrigued by the Necromancer, but as I started to look further into the game I really took a liking to the Guardian as well. I'm also going to try to give a few other classes a spin this weekend, especially the ones that I'm not particularly interested in. Who knows, maybe I'll really like one of them?
