Thank you so much for your kindness Bear, it means a lot to me. And hopefully it will run well so I can play with you all. It's been so long since I've been able to get into a game with a large group of friends. /sob

I'm currently downloading the Beta Client. It's taking a while, but we'll see how it goes.

Well, the beta is installed successfully! Where it is on my computer, I don't actually know! But, I can run it, and the menu runs perfectly! /meh2

All joking aside, yeah. It even defaulted me to medium settings, dunno if that means something, but could be good. We shall see.

Awesome Nesta! I'm really happy to hear it =) I'm crossing my fingers hoping that you will be able to play just fine =D

Yeah, it is so weird, because the game runs off of ONE large 13GB VCD file that I found sitting in my download folder. They don't even bother creating a shortcut or anything for you, it just plops you right in!

Oh man, I am so freaking stoked. Luc and I were gushing on chat earlier about how excited we were. It really is a great feeling since I've not been so giddy to play a game in a while. I remember having about the same feeling for RO when I was waiting for the alpha to open up; those were some good times!

Also, this should be pretty obvious, but we will be utilizing Ventrilo during play time. Once again, the server info is:

sun.pure-voice.net
port 3222
pass: dr4gon

Vent is not required but highly recommended, even if you don't have a mic.

Granted I still need access to an account where I can just jump on, make a character real quick, and see how it runs. If you still want to let me do that, I'd be eternally grateful. And, I guess you can only test on the weekends or what?

Yeah, like I said, don't sweat it; I got you covered there.

I just need to make sure I can hop on, create and delete characters and switch login PCs without issue. Once that's confirmed and you're ready to go, I'll make sure to log out and you can have a go at it. Or if you happen to be on during hours I'll be sleeping, you can have some extended play time with it.

What time will you be available tomorrow to test? I'll pretty much be on at noon alongside launch, assuming they open on time. As it stands, I just woke up from a nap and I'll be working on the comic until it's finished. If I don't get another nap before the beta starts, I'll probably be crashing between midnight and 2am. Of course if you are around and we coordinate it well enough, you can come on and hang out with everyone when Pie and I take breaks to eat and stuff too.

Hmm... let's see. I'm usually a night person, but tonight I think I'm going to try and stay up to take care of something in the morning. Which, I guess doesn't really change anything, because even if I did do that, I'd be going to sleep afterwards and waking up at like... Late'o'clock. So, realistically I should be around anywhere from 7PM-7AM (PST). So, it sounds like the ideal thing might be for me to Ninja in there while you're snoozin' and check it out. But who knows. I'll keep checking back.

Yeah, the 13GB file is dropped right next to your launcher (which is the gw2.exe). I think they do that to help hide the code a bit (as in it's in one file) but.... Well, let's say dataminers be datamining.

Yeah, I found it. Thanks guys. That's super weird, but interesting. ArenaNet has always been on the ball with innovation I guess.
