I take it you don't like Steam voice chat Doc.

Bad experiences.
It raped my ears.
Let's leave it at that.

I'm buying a new headset tomorrow. Skype doesn't work on my computer.
So it's good we has the Vent thingy.

I've never tried Steam voice chat, but I'm not a fan of free VoIP solutions either.
Maybe after this one expires I'll look into Mumble, I've been hearing good things about it. I always like to keep a standard VoIP solution for games, and seeing how I'm pretty sure a GW2 guild will be forming in our community, I will certainly want to keep one open.

Not to knock Steam, I love its chat overlay and stuff, and like I said I've not tried the VoIP. I just like paying for hosted services to ensure they are rock solid and perfectly clear globally.

Like 30% of mics are incompatible with steam, and it feels like 32 kbps quality audio. And it loses like 30% of all audio that goes through it.
Yeah, stick with Ventrilo, mumble, or teamspeak.

Click the setup button. Enable push to talk if it isn't enabled already, and then click on the push "Blah" to talk thingy and set it to a key you can easily reach. Most people use tab, ctrl, shift, caps lock, or middle mouse button. You just hold down the button and talk.

cool thank's, but I was wondering, is there a way to make so that you don't have to push to talk because I find it a bit cumbersome.
