Yeah, it is looking really slick! I really loved XX and even though it was the only game I've played in the series, I'm pretty hyped about this too. Man, there have been some surprisingly awesome fighting games in the last couple years!

Yes. YES.

The move to cel-shading will probably completely overtake sprite work for big studios now that it has gotten to look as good as hand drawn work - It's too compelling not to use it since it gives them the ability to manipulate the camera, which as we've seen is used to awesome effect.

Some more characters have been announced. May, Venom, Chipp Zanuff and Potemkin are all coming back, huzzah! Some interesting redesigns, especially Potemkin.

WOW, I wonder if Potemkin is partially robotic, now? 'Course that could all just be elaborate armor, but it makes ya wonder.

Anyway, everyone pretty much looks as expected, except May....does she look younger? Perhaps it's just the artist. Or the baggy clothes.

I'd say it's just the new outfit that makes her look so much younger.

So, did anyone else pick this up. It's super great (except the English VO on the final boss). Haven't touched it too much yet, but what I have is really good.

Bought the special edition super-whatever, 'cause I'm a sucker. Still, it's got some cool stuff (though I really would have liked a FULL soundtrack). Anyway, I've only messed with it a little, so far, but I'm liking what I'm seeing! Absolutely wonderful graphics. I'm not usually shocked and amazed by that stuff (since everyone seems to think the most impressive stuff is the most realistic) but this stuff is just AWESOME! I love how they made 3D models that LOOK like spritework! Fantastic stuff.

Game wise, it feels great. I went through all the characters, and I can manage all my favorite moves, even after the years that have passed without my playing much Guilty Gear. I haven't gotten deep into the mechanics, but that'll take some time. It's been awhile since I've played, but it's been even longer since I played WELL.

Music wise, it's METAL. As always. I'm not familiar with all of it yet, but I am loving what I'm hearing. (Which is why I'd like an easy way to buy the soundtrack, 'cause Daisuke Ishiwatari has never let me down).

Only thing that has thrown me off is the English voice acting...it's not like it's bad, I'm just SO used to the Japanese voices. They haven't translated the characters before, so it sounds all off. I should probably give it a decent shot first, but after a few seconds of Ky's English attack noises I went and switched it to Japanese so I could hear all the familiar sounds I associate with my favorite attacks.

I'm looking forward to delving into this one!
