As may or may not be obvious, Pie and I have been enthralled by numerous other media lately. Despite the deception wrought by the first series leading you to believe that Aang was the Last Airbender, it didn't diminish our excitement in watching The Legend of Korra. Now that Season 2 is airing, we've been watching it avidly online. This comic pretty much sums up how the first episode played out in my mind and I can't say anything more that isn't already stated in the mouseover.

As Pie mentioned, we've also been watching Attack on Titan which has been quite excellent; the story moves briskly, the characters are well developed within a short time frame, and you are never quite sure how the plot will play out. It is exquisitely animated with some impressive perspective work that helps keep the sense of scale feeling appropriately terrifying and thrilling. We're now caught up and sitting on the edge of our seats for the next episode which should drop tomorrow.

Although the wait has been interminable between episodes, nothing has been quite as bad as the weekly wait for new episodes of Breaking Bad. Pie gets quite tense from the series, so even though she's watched the first 4 seasons with me, she has been shying away from the 5th and 6th due to emotional strain. Even though she doesn't want to watch directly, she still insists that I recap all the story details. I like to utilize stuffed animals to reenact the episodes; brutal and intimidating scenes are always gratifying when using cats, monkeys and seals.

Also! The Shantae Kickstarter is coming to a close and you should really give them some love. Ahh...so many great Kickstarters and so little cash...
