Bear and I recently had the chance to check out Sherlock, the popular BBC TV series obviously inspired by the renowned book series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; it was a blast! =D Though I've never actually read any of the books, I've always been a big fan of the whole dynamic which is represented in various media that plays off of the classic series such as Disney's The Great Mouse Detective, the 2009 Sherlock Holmes film starring Robert Downey Jr., and Detective Conan. I always loved the portrayal of a super intelligent (and somewhat socially awkward) detective solving smart crimes with his sidekick, meanwhile also playing against a rival mastermind; "two sides of the same coin," - they are enemies, yet so similar that they almost respect each other. Oh the giddies it gives me. XD

The BBC series is three seasons long so far, each season only consisting of three one and a half hour long episodes. I admit that I was a kinda disappointed at how the third season was feeling in the beginning, but it ended with a nice bang. =)

In other news, I've been really feeling the need to reach out to mingle with other people who share a similar interest and hobby in art. I think I'm really needing this to help break myself through a personal barrier and make strides to improve in what I do. It's been a little frustrating because I feel that I'm not progressing as fast as I'd like. I had a friend in high school who I used to talk with about art and manga and we drew together constantly. We played off each others' efforts, bounced ideas, and, I believe, really drove each other to try new techniques and improve. I really miss having that kind of interaction and dynamic, but I don't know any groups or friends that draw in the Los Angeles area. I don't even know what would be a good online community or starting point I could check out for this. I'm pretty bad at being social online too so would I even be able to keep it up? '_' Anway, I'm up for any suggestions you guys might have on communities or art circles in the Los Angeles area. ^^
