Yes, I've kinda caught the Persona craze too since Persona 5's release. @_@ Bear and I, like many fans of the franchise, have been waiting for this game for soooooo looooong! -since Atlus mentioned that the "next Persona" game was in development all the way back in 2010! What a time to wait! It was one of those times where you feel like you've waited for so long that you kinda lose interest in whatever it is you're waiting for because you settle into the idea that the game is going to be in production for the unforeseeable future (and us not having a PS4). -then it hits and EVERYONE's talking about how awesome the game is.

Because of the hype, I wanted to play a persona game again and I figured now was a good time to go back and play what I've never passed. As much as Bear and I love Persona 4, we actually haven't passed it yet because, back then, I got too obsessed about grinding out persona on our save file while she was busy with other things and made our persona super strong which caused Bear to get bored of battles. =x We want to go back to the game and plan to the end one day, but right now's not the time. It's a joint first-time experience for us so I can't play it without her. XD;;

Persona 3's my current personal gaming project. =3 I started the game over a few times in years ago, but ended up stopping because of life events and just hadn't gotten back to it. I was very interested in Persona 3 Portable because it has a female protagonist option, more social links, and other additions, but I simply never got it in the end. -so now I'm playing it on emulator. @_@ I feel a little guilty about it but I admit that I'm kind of justifying it with the fact that I bought the official PS2 game three times. ^^;;

It's such a interesting and fun twist playing the female protagonist in Persona 3 Portable, it's fun seeing the differences in subtleties of how other characters interact with your hero, solely based on their gender and the social norms that surround it. I was pretty disappointed that having a female protagonist wasn't an option for other Persona games that came out after P3P (Persona 4 golden and Persona 5), but I think it's an interesting thought that they did such a neat job having two gender perspectives for P3P that maybe, if they were to do it again, they'd want to do it "right," not just by adding a skin and swapping gender honorifics in text. '_' I suppose too that it's something they can't easily do in Persona 4 either without having to remake whole chunks of character interactions, scenarios, and story since the game seems to often play on you being one of the guys with Yosuke, Teddie, and Kanji (<3). Well, hopefully, maybe in the future we'll get a new Persona game with a female protagonist. XD We'd totally re-buy 4 and 5 just for that feature. =)
