Though I've been playing Final Fantasy 14 for a really long time now, I've never touched Botanist until semi-recently. Long ago, when Bear and I first started playing the game, we decided to split who leveled which gathering and crafting jobs to force dependency and cooperative play with one another, not to mention that leveling so many crafting and gathering jobs was a really big time investment and really took some dedication. Crafting and gathering had an overhaul in Shadowbringers, making it much easier to craft and much faster to level. I need to say that even though it's much easier now, I still think it's still way cooler than any crafting system in any other MMO I've played~ (except for the small bit in Wildstar that allowed you to customize stats on an item that you're crafting)

Eventually, because of the type of game content she's been playing lately, Bear decided that it was in her best interest to level the crafting and gathering jobs she's neglected for all of these years, which in turn partially made me decide to also. ^^

So yes! I've been leveling/have leveled Botanist! It's not really something to be too excited for since it's pretty much just like Miner, except for gathering different types of materials and the aesthetic differences, but one thing that I always thought was weird (in a fun way) is that you can also gather small reptiles and insects through botany too! I'm not really sure how it would work; gathering frogs and snakes from bushes with a scythe, but boy, it just sounds kinda cool!

As I got higher in Botanist levels, I couldn't help getting a little excited at the thought of gathering frogs for cooking the recipe for my last levels of Culinarian. XD Sure, it's not a real frog; it's just a small picture of one with text describing a frog accompanying it, but I don't know, it's just so fun to think about! Frogs are really cool too~
